SeKON Achieves Cyber Security Maturity Milestone with CMMC 2.0 Level 1 Certification
We are thrilled to share the exciting news that we have successfully fulfilled all the requirements of the Cyber Security Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 Level 1 without Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), with a certified third-party attestation. In the near future, we are well-positioned to attain CUI and CMMC 2.0 Level 2 when required.
Our journey towards this significant accomplishment commenced in 2017 with the NIST-800 171 requirements. Negotiating a winding path, we adapted to evolving cybersecurity standards, addressing new threats through enhanced tools, policies, and procedures. Today, we proudly stand ahead of the curve, aligning with the latest government standard of CMMC
While quantifying the exact number of contractors who have achieved this status remains challenging due to self-attestation, reports indicate that only 13% of DOD contractors meet the requirement. SeKON has gone the extra mile by securing a third-party certification from IGI Cybersecurity, showcasing our commitment to adhering to these standards. Furthermore, the percentage of contractors with a third-party attestation is even lower, emphasizing SeKON’s dedication to maintaining cybersecurity maturity standards. This underscores our commitment, from robust policies and procedures to regular cataloging of evidence and investment in cutting-edge corporate cybersecurity tools.
This accomplishment independently verifies SeKON’s proven ability to execute and uphold cybersecurity hygiene standards at a world-class level. A heartfelt congratulations is extended to Claude Crocker, Margaret Crim and our Corporate Cyber Security team.
