Expanding Our Footprint at CDC
SeKON was recently awarded a new Data Management contract with the Division ofHIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP) supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA.
Our back-office staff stepped in with a very quick turnaround to secure this win and to get the program up and running. Amith Ratnavibhushana in pricing and teaming agreements, Brian Pariroo and Henna Jahangir supporting pricing and recruitment, Claude Crocker and Margo Crim providing IT equipment and support.
Alison Rosen and David Slingbaum overseeing all efforts, and Shirley Arvey, whose knowledge of CDC and excellence in service delivery toDHAP through our current portfolio made this a natural win.
Alison Rosen, David Slingbaum, Henna Jahaghir, Cameron Kirby, and LeRoy Purdie flew down toAtlanta to participate in a recruiting event for the new program. With the help of our partners at DLH, SeKON was able to bring on new key roles and build relationships with some of SeKON’s newest team members.
Although their trip to Atlanta was only three days, our team was able to establish the foundation in kicking off this new endeavor in the right direction!
The work not only aligns withSeKON’s interest in broadening our footprint at CDC, but also deepens experience and expertise in data management in the public health setting.SeKON will now be supporting 10 offices/branches within the CDC DHAP environment, assisting with the development of data management systems and databases, supporting both quantitative and qualitative data and data systems, and communicating with project areas regarding study activities.
