Awarding NHLBI
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute team (including our Leidos team members) have started the final Option Year of the contract off with a recognition of work in the previous fiscal year. The Content Management Team in early 2021 created the Caring for Children with COVID ‘microsite’ https://caring4kidswithcovid.nih.gov/ focused on multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) research.
The site launched in February and received the 2021 Group Award from NHLBI Director, Dr. Gary Gibbons at the end of September. Mel Wingate-Bey led the effort for the team and worked closely with other Information Technology and Applications Center teams as well as the Office of Science Policy, Engagement, Education and Communications, which coordinated content from National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
