Business Development Update – SeKON around Town
This winter SeKON had the opportunity to attend several conferences, industry days, and networking events to expand our reach with current and potential customers. We centered our presence around gaining maximum exposure to the initiatives of key agencies such as Centers for Disease Control (CDC), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and Veterans Affairs (VA) which align to our growth targets. During these engagements we were able to takeaway insights into pain points, the future of these organizations and how to best position ourselves to win more work. Additionally, we were able to connect with existing and possible partners to provide the best solution to our clients.
As a highlight of this season, Alison Rosen, Sherrell Nicholson, and Darren Collins were able to represent SeKON during the AFCEA Bethesda Chapter Health IT Summit – 2023 where we had nominated one of SeKON’s current DHA customers, Ken Johns, to participate in a panel. The team worked with one of SeKON’s consultants, who is well connected in HHS, to develop a plan of action leading into the conference. Alison, Sherrell, and Darren strategically divided and conquered multiple sessions and networking opportunities with key speakers and attendees. As an outcome, SeKON learned of ways in which CMS could benefit from solutions that SeKON provides. The team then leveraged this knowledge to develop a customer call plan and began coordinating outreach and follow on meetings. SeKON will continue to seek out events that propel us forward in providing “Better Health Through Innovation and Digital Transformation”.
