Sketching the SAMHSA Road Map
The SAMHSA team recently launched a new high-level Road Map using a free version of Trello. The project Road Map provides our COR and Business/Site Owner visibility and ownership into the project plan and activities for the next 3-6-9 months. We meet with the COR and Business/Site Owner before each Agile sprint to review and revise the Road Map, set the next sprint goals, and document their priorities. The Road Map also has an impressive Gantt and card display that is integrated with our Jira system. We link the Road Map activities to the detailed Jira tickets/subtasks supporting the high-level activity so the team can drill down into more detail. At each of project meetings, we use the Road Map as a launching point to discuss work progress and status. This has been a great success and it has improved our communications and work process with the COR and Business/Site Owner.
As a result of all the great work by the SAMHSA team, SeKON was awarded the contract option year and in addition SAMHSA executed optional tasks increasing our funding by 23%!
